London Day 1 - Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum

So, I visited London during my winter break this year for about 10 days, and I absolutely loved it! Okay, I'm lying. I didn't really enjoy myself the first few days but after meeting up with a few friends and seeing London outside of a tourist's eyes, I fell in love with it. But that's another story I will share another day. Right now, I want to show you pictures I took from Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum!

This is a portrait of "The King of Pop", where Michael Jackson is made entirely of candy! The hair and jacket are made of liquorice, the skin is gummy bears, and the background is hard peppermint candies.

| This man had a hole drilled in his head into which he put a lit candle in order to give night tours of his city's dark neighbourhoods! |

| Born in Russia with a rare genetic disease, Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Man travelled for years with the Barnus & Bailey Circus. His entire body was covered with long silky hair. The hair on his face grew to over 20cm long! |
Discovering that he was dying, woodworker Masakichi carved an exact replica of himself. He then painstakingly plucked every hair from his body, along with his fingernails, toenails, and teeth, and attached them to his sculpture!

Disliking his wide's gossiping, a Nigerian chief padlocked her nose, threatening to padlock her mouth unless she hushed! Mistaking it for decoration, the Djerma tribeswomen adopted locks as jewellery, wearing them instead of traditional nose rings!

This man lost his nose in a sword fight and replaced it with a glued-on one made from solid gold!

And that, my friends, are only about one-eighth of the pictures I took in the museum. The best part of the museum, I'd have to say, is the laser beam room where you had to pretend to be spies from
Mission Impossible (where I have no idea whether the theme song was actually playing out loud or it was just all in my head) and roll, jump, slide etc. across the room, without touching the laser beams, to get to the end. It comes with varying difficulties and it was really, really fun!
So yup! Up to this point, even though the museum was quite entertaining, I was still not pleased with the city itself, but that will soon change within the next few days, which I will update on next time. :)

Just Because.

I've always wanted to start writing again for the past few years but just never got into it. Truth be told, this current blog was created about two years ago with the title
Haecceity, which basically means 'individuality', for some a reason I can't remember right now. It's funny, because when I logged onto my blogger account and saw that this blog existed, I didn't know what the title meant, hehehe.
But point being, I am reviving this blog unbeknownst to you all just because. Yup. Just because.
Okay, there is a tiny reason. I want to share my photos with the world, or at least make them more 'permanent' in a sense, because I'm not the kind of person to share my photos on Facebook, and I feel that bombarding my followers on Instagram with the numerous photos I take would be a tad annoying. So! I guess you can think of this as some sort of photoblog but we'll see how it goes. I'm a bit hesitant to type out my feelings as I have done in the past because I tend to type a lot when I'm emotional, and I figured that I didn't want to share every single detail of my life (hence why I stopped writing in the first place a few years ago).
So, yes. Hopefully this will turn out well. :)
